Day Six: September BIAW

"All words are pegs to hang ideas on." ~ Henry Ward Beecher

"The artist, like the God of creation, remains within or behind or beyond or above his handiwork, invisible, refined out of existence, indifferent, paring his fingernails." ~ James Joyce

Day Two: September BIAW

"Writing became such a process of discovery that I couldn't wait to get to work in the morning: I wanted to know what I was going to say. " --Sharon O'Brien

Have you made this discovery yet? Do you wake up in the morning and think, "I can't wait to write!"?

Before you sit down to write today, take a moment and ponder the above quote. Think about the process of discovery in your writing. Then clear your mind, take a deep breath, and put pen to paper (or fingers to keys) and let yourself write. Immerse yourself in your story. Feel every single emotion. Put yourself right there with your characters.

What will you discover today? The possibilities are endles...

Day One: September BIAW

"Keep going. Writing is finally play, and there's no reason why you should get paid for playing. If you're a real writer, you'll write no matter what. "-- Irwin Shaw

"Writing a book is like driving a car at night. You only see as far as your headlights go, but you can make the whole trip that way." -- E.L. Doctorow

"The first secret of good writing: We must look intently, and hear intently, and taste intently." --James J. Kilpatrick
